I purchased my home last spring that was built in 1979, and I needed a full-service interior design firm to help me handle the architectural and interior design project from start to finish. That firm was Broad Street Interiors, and we developed a relationship in which I trusted them and purchased furniture, accessories, etc. while the house was under renovation.
Most of the furniture was delivered October 6 and some pieces were found to be “secondhand”, stained and/or damaged, for example, a secondhand king bed missing slats and two sofas with stains and one with a damaged arm.
I have emailed, texted, and included photographs of the quality issues that I have experienced and expressed that I wanted to resolve the matter amicably. The owners emailed in January and offered to clean the sofas and cut the slats for the bed while reminding me of their “special-order” policies. Recently, I made a visit to the storeroom to discuss the problems one on one. Unfortunately, no progress was made toward solving the problem, and I was told “never to return to the store”. My persistent effort is to resolve all the issues fairly and swiftly and just have a “fresh start”. Please!
If it’s any consolation, I am thrilled with the architectural design of my home that is open and airy and full of natural light.
